About WTR1BE

WTR1BE is a Starcraft 2 clan that aims to be a place where the community can meet for practicing, discussing the game and to receive free coaching from Masters and above players. Anyone of Masters status and above can register to become a coach, it's a great way to give back to the community that has given so much to us.

In addition, in the near future we will be providing monthly give-aways in the form of gift cards for various sites ie "Amazon" or "Best Buy", so there is a small incentive to give back to the coaches.

You are not entitled to join the WTR1BE community in any form to become a coach, we are simply a medium for those who wish to give back to the comunity, nothing more.

Feel free to visit us, browse our new forum and join in our Battle.net channel "wtr1be". Please e-mail contactus@wtr1be.com with any questions or suggestions.

Tournament Info

WTR1BE Open #1 is the first montlhy tournament we are holding. On the first three weeks of the month we have qualifying tournaments (such as this) in order to determinethe roster of our grand final tournament, to be held in the last week of the month.

  • - Top 16 players of all three qualifiers play in the grand finals tournament. How far you got into the qualifying tournament is the first factor, followed by the score.
  • - If we have a tie, other factors will be taken into consideration, such as the league of the players you matched against.
  • - You can participate in all three qualifying tournaments. Your best placement will be used to determine if you qualify for the grand finals tournament, which is invitational only.

General Rules

  • - To play your tournament matches you must join the channel "WTR1BE Open" at the appointed time and contact your opponent
  • - If a WTR1BE admin recognizes that a player in doing any form of cheating, he will be disqualified from the tournament.
  • - You must contact your opponent on Battle.net to play your match.
  • - Spectators are allowed in-game as long as both players agree. Admins can always join any game they wish and allow in-game spectators.
  • - The player must use the race specified upon registration; not doing so will result in disqualification from the tournament.
  • - If a player that was clearly winning and disconnects, a rematch occurs. If a player was clearly losing and disconnects, he loses the match unless the other player choses to rematch. All disconnect situations will be avaliated by a WTR1BE admin.
  • - The first map played must be as specified; not doing so will result in a disqualification for both players.
  • - The loser picks the next map to be played, which may be any GSL or MLG maps.
  • - If you are ~15 minutes late, one game is lost; another 15 minutes you forfeit match entirely (for ro64-ro16 you are directly disqualified with 15 minutes late, as its bo1 format). The countdown for ro32 and so forth starts right after your opponent is available in the bracket. Exceptions might occur if an admin judges so.
  • - In case your opponent does not show up in 15 minutes a WTR1BE admin should be contacted in the channel before updating the bracket, so that the situation can be verified. If the admin gives you the green light, you may update the bracket saying that your opponent didn't show up.
  • - Each player is allowed to pause the game once per match after informing his opponent with "pp" message, which may last up until 5 minutes.
  • - The final of each qualifier and the grand final must be played with a WTR1BE admin as observer, which will invite the players to the game at the appointed time.
  • - The proper replays must be uploaded at the end of a match when updating the bracket.

Prize Pool

The first place receives $15 through paypal, which must be informed to a WTR1BE admin right after the end of your last match; your reward will be deposited within 24h (allow a few days for the paypal payment to be processed).
